Lack of top management support
The aim of planning to increase overall efficiency. It
may eventually assists management in culling out
unnecessary employees at various levels in the

         name of cost-cutting.
Human resource professionals find it challenging
to get critical contributions without top-level

support and commitment. To ensure the success
of HRP, high management support is required.

             Time Consuming
Because data collection and forecasting are

required in human resource planning, it is
         expensive and time-consuming. Human resource
planning may be resisted by employers who

believe it raises the cost of human resources.

             Lack of Purpose
Conflicting may exist between short-term and
long-term HR needs. For example, there arises a

conflict such as preparing people for assuming
         greater responsibilities. Many managers believe
that HR planning an immediately because skills

are available on the market as long as wages and
salaries are competitive. These managers fail to
recognize that by focusing just on short-term
needs while hiring or promoting, long-term
         difficulties are neglected.
