P. 13

The importance of human resource
                   management in the hospitality sector

The hospitality industry is human-centric and
centered on people-dealing. Therefore, it requires
a high level of dedication, sincerity, and talent. In

addition, the staff desires adequate knowledge,
skills, and expertise to win over the customer so
that the organization continues to grow and

         expand across boundaries.

HRM is required in the hospitality business for
two reasons: first, it is a customer-driven industry,
and second, it is a quality-focused one. The human

element is critical to any organization's overall
performance, but it is essential in a service
         industry like the hotel industry.

Several members of the staff (such as waiters,
waitresses, and receptionists) have direct contact
with guests and hence play an important role in
fulfilling the hotel's goals. Therefore, the attitude

of the workers is just as important as their talents
in determining the level of service provided.
