                       Step 1

                       Remove the 10Ω resistor from the circuit and replace the voltage source with a short

                       circuit. Calculate the value of Zth.

                                 Zth  = [(250) Ω // (j100)] + (–j25) Ω

                                  =    (250)(j100)    – j25
                                     (250)+ (j100)
                                  = (34.483 + j61.207) Ω

                       Step 2

                       Calculate the value of Thevenin voltage, Vth by removing the 10Ω load from the

                       circuit.

                          By using Voltage Divider Rule (VDR),

                                Vth = V(j100) Ω =    (j100)    x  15<0°V = (  .         +      .       ) V
                                             (j100+250)

                       Step 3

                       Draw the Thevenin equivalent circuit with the 10Ω load connected to the circuit.
