Determine the current flows through 6Ω by using Maxwell Loop Method.

Loop i1
By applying Kirchhoff Voltage Law (KVL);
(2 + j4 + 6) i1 – (6) i2 = – 10 <0° + 12 <30°
Note: The currents i1 and i2 are in the opposite direction.
The source 10 <0° V and i1 are in the opposite direction BUT
The source 12 <30° V and i1 are in the same direction.
(8 + j4) i1 – (6) i2 = 0.392 +j6 --------------------------- (1)
Loop i2
By applying Kirchhoff Voltage Law (KVL);
(8 – j10+ 6) i2 – (6) i1 = +10<0°
Note: The currents i2 and i1 in the opposite direction.
The source 10 <0° V and i2 in the same direction
(14 –j10) i2 – 6 i1 = 10<0°
– 6 i1 + (14 – j10) i2 = 10<0° --------------------------- (2)
