                       Example 7

                       Calculate the current that goes through 5Ω, 10Ω and 15Ω.

                       Solution

                       Loop i1

                       By applying Kirchhoff Voltage Law (KVL);

                       (5 + 15 + j20) i1 + (15 + j20) i2 = +10 + 12

                       (Note: the sources 10V and 12V are positive because it is in the same direction of i1)

                       (20 + j20) i1 + (15 + j20) i2   =   22 --------------------------- (1)

                       Loop i2

                       By applying Kirchhoff Voltage Law (KVL);

                       (15 + j20 – j10 + 10) i2 + (15 + j20) i1 = +10

                       (Note: the source 10V is positive because it is in the same direction of i2)

                       (25 + j10) i2 + (15 + j20) i1 = 10

                       (15 + j20) i1 + (25 + j10) i2 = 10   --------------------------- (2)
