4. Special Service
It is called a special service because it provides
food and beverage at places that are not meant
for food & beverage service. The following are
the different methods of special service.
Room service
This is the service provided in a hotel that allows
customers to order food and drink to be
delivered to their rooms.
Home delivery
Food delivered to a customer’s home or place of
work. For example, home delivery of pizza or
Meals on Wheels.
Tray Service
Method of service of whole or part of meal on
tray to customer in situ, such as hospitals,
aircraft, or railway catering.
