                       Example 7



                       For the following network, find the current that flows through 10 Ω using Norton’s

                       theorem.

                       Step 1

                       Remove the resistor 10Ω and replace the current source with an open circuit.

                                 ZN = (2 − j6 + j8)//(−j4)      =    (2 − j6 + j8)(−j4)   = 4 Ω
                                                              ( 2 − j6 + j8  −j4)




                       Step 2



                       Find the Norton current source, IN by replacing 10Ω with a short circuit.
