2. Generate employment
Diverse employment opportunities are generated
by tourism and hospitality in a variety of
industries, including lodging, restaurants,
transportation, travel agencies, tour companies,
and natural and cultural attractions. There are
other labor issues affecting the sector such as
high staff turnover, excessive working
schedules, low unionization, and pressure on
human and environmental resources.
3. Developing infrastructure
Infrastructure is the key to developing a
successful tourism destination. The tourism sector
encourages the development of new
infrastructure, much of which enhances the
quality of life for both locals and visitors.
4. Promote peace and stability
The tourism and travel industry is the world’s
largest industry which helps reduce the gap
between different communities, faiths, and
cultures. Individuals from all around the world
and their customs contribute significantly to
promoting peace. A powerful tool for fostering
peace, tourism encourages cross-cultural
exchange that fosters tolerance, national
integration, empathy, kindness, standards of
education, justice, and respect for one another.
