                            1) MOUTH

It is the first section of the digestive system,
where food is received and saliva is produced.
it is also known as oral cavity.

           TONGUE

        It is a muscular
        organ with a
        mucous membrane TEETH

        swallowed.

Chewing is important because it breaks down
the food into smaller pieces – to be swallowed.

Glands in mouth will produce saliva –which
                  contains important digestion enzymes and
lubricates the food and may easily flow into the
                                  esophagus.
