Heat, Q

Heat describes as the flow of energy in a substance. Heat define as the amount of thermal energy

that can be transferred from one body to another. The SI unit of heat is Joules, J. The symbol for
heat is, Q. Heat flows naturally from an object at a higher temperature to one at a lower

temperature. It is important to note that the amount of heat that can be obtained from an object
does not depend on its temperature alone but mainly on the amount of thermal energy that the

                       object has.
