3.2.1 Glass Box Approach
The idea of orthographic or multi view drawing comes from the glass box
approach. Imagine that is an object suspended by transparent threads inside a
glass box, then draw the object on each three faces as seen from the direction as
shown in the figure below.

Unfold the box and we will get the three views from the different directions
which is called orthographic or multi view drawing.
