PHOTO DIODE
Photo Diodes are semiconductor light sensors
that generate a current or voltage when the P-N
junction in the semiconductor is illuminated by
light.
Photo Diodes are responsive to high energy
particles and photons.
Many diodes specifically designed as photodiodes
often use a PIN junction instead of the standard
PN junction.
