3.0 Personal Encounters and Parallel Activities
How does one conduct a parallel-activity or parallel-game programme? It
requires a lot of coordination and, of course, tolerance. Three most crucial items
for Parallel Activities or Games are stopwatch, whistle and a runner. The smooth
running of the whole game relies entirely on the efficiency of the runner and his, or
her, time management.
There are three key elements that participants need to remember when they
participate in a parallel game. As shown in figure 1, when the participants hear the
whistle, they need to move to a different station. Then, the game starts. This cycle
goes on until the participants have played the games in every set-up-station.
