Protein in food
Group of protein
Protein is divided into two group:-
1. Complete protein
2. Incomplete protein
Complete protein
1. Complete protein contains all
nine essential amino acids.
2. It cannot be made by our body.
Therefore it must be obtained
from food for the body to function
properly.
3. Found in food sources from
animal such as meat, fish,
poultry, eggs, milk and milk
products.
Incomplete protein
1. The remaining 11 can be made
in the body.
2. Known as non-essential amino
acids.
3. Incomplete protein usually lack
one or more of the essential
amino acids.
