2. CULTURAL TOURISM

Cultural tourism is the journey of
individuals to cultural destinations away
from their normal place of residence, with
the intention to learn discover and

experience. This type of tourism allows the
tourist to participate in local cultural
activities, like festivals and rituals.

For example, Batu Caves is a mogote that
has a series of caves and cave temples in
Gombak, Malaysia. Basically, Hindus
celebrate Thaipusam by visiting Batu
Caves as it is temple festival.
