Councils are actively involved in

promoting tourism, providing
infrastructure and services to
support tourism, but also in
managing the impacts of
tourism.

HOST COMMUNITY

Hosts are defined as those who live in
the vicinity of the tourist attraction and
are either directly or indirectly involved
with, and/or affected by the wildlife
tourism activities.
The host activitiy is an important element
to consider in the concept of
sustainability.
There are also several other positive and
negative sides of tourism's economic
impacts on local communities. Tourism
has the power to affect cultural
changes.
Tourism often grows into mass-tourism. It

leads to the over consumption, pollution
and lack of resources.
