iii. Storage
                                a. A compressor need not be in continuous operation

                                b. It is can be stored in and remove from a reservoir or cylinder

                       iv. Temperature
                                a. It is insensitive to temperature fluctuation

                                b. That ensure reliable operation

                       v. Explosion proof

                                a. Compressed air no risk of explosion or fire starter.
                                b. Expensive protection against explosion is not required

                       vi. Cleanliness
                                a. Leaking air does not cause contamination to surrounding environment.

                                b. So, it is suitable for food, wood, textile and leather industries

                      vii. Construction

                                a. simple construction than hydraulic system

                     viii. Speed
                                a. It is a very fast working medium

                                b. The cylinders actuator has working speed of 1 ~ 2 m/s

                     1.0.3 Disadvantages of Pneumatic System

                        i. Preparation
                                a. Pneumatic system is required to remove dirt and humidity

                       ii. Compressible

                                a. Impossible to achieve uniform and constant piston speeds.

                      iii. Force requirement

                                a. Low working loads rather than hydraulic system.
                                b. The require output force is economical only up to about 20 kN to 30 kN

                                c. Commonly used working pressure around 7 bar to 8 bar.

                                                                                                       Page 3
