Issue: Analog Switching
1. The number of users increased tremendously.
2. There were high demand for more connection and
more service over the telephony service/network.
Solution:
The digital exchange was deployed by Alcatel on 1972
in France.
The digital exchange resolved all issues on the
analogue exchange.
It also improved the voice quality for long distance call.
The switching operator was no longer needed since
the digital exchange was deployed.
