5/2-WAY VALVES OPERATION
When the push button is
pressed, the pressured
port and the outlet port
are connected, the air
compressed will flow from
port 1(P) to 4(A) to extend
the linear cylinder.
When the push button is
released, the spring causes
the valve to be in normal
position where an outlet
and an exhaust port are
connected, so compressed
air will flow back from port
4(A) to 5(R). This will cause
a linear cylinder to be
retracted.
A common application for a 5/2-way valve is to control a double
acting cylinder.
