RESISTANCE TEMPERATURE
DETECTOR (RTD)
RTD is designed to measure temperature using the known
resistance.
It is a positive temperature coefficient device, meaning
the resistance increases with temperature.
The resistive property of the metal is called its resistivity.
The resistance is proportional to length and inversely
proportional to the cross-sectional area.
