TOOLS IN ILLUSTRATOR
Modify tools - scissor
The Scissor tool allows you split a path or
elements at an anchor point or along a segment.
1 Click and hold the Eraser tool, then click the Scissor tool or
press C.
2 Click the point on the path you want to split.
3 Select the anchor points created due to the split or the path
you split to modify the object.
