Introduction ICT's information
system, information management
and their relationship.
Information and communication
technologies (ICTs) improve
organisations' ability to manage
resources, increase productivity,
communicate policies and
market their offerings, and form
partnerships with all
stakeholders.
Organizations can also expand geographically and
coordinate their activities regionally, nationally,
and globally thanks to ICTs. Technological tools
provide unprecedented managerial control and
coordination tools. As a result, they not only
facilitate but also frequently investigate expansion.
Hotel chains, for example, can expand due to their
ability to control and coordinate their functions in
remote locations and on larger properties.
More importantly, ICTs help organisations develop and
maintain competitiveness and advantage. Constant
innovation in hardware, software, and network
computing applications means that only dynamic
organisations that can assess their stakeholders' needs
and respond efficiently and effectively will be able to
outperform their competitors and maintain their long-
term prosperity.
