Forming the Passive Voice

The present passive is written as:

                     is/are + past participle

                        Subject

                                                                agent
                                      Verb to-be past participle

Step 1: Identify the category of the words or phrases in the sentence.
   Eg: verb, object, subject, complement

Step 2: Once identified, place the object in the beginning of the sentence.

Step 3: Include the verb to-be. In this case, 'are' because 'trees' is the plural
                form of the noun 'tree'.

Step 4: Change the verb to past participle (watch out for irregular
                verbs!)
                                      transports transported

Step 5: Add the agent if needed.
