Applications:
o These blends are produced based on
existing polymers with well-known
properties, and their development is less
costly and more reliable than
synthesising a new single polymer for a
specific application. For example,
elastomers (a highly deformable type of
polymer) are often blended with other
plastics to improve the material's impact
strength.
