Applications:
o By 1961, new and improved nickel-base,
iron-nickel-cobalt-base super alloys were
available in high-pressure airfoils in
aircraft gas turbines. The term super alloy
was used because of their improved
performance at elevated temperatures of
approximately 540 C and high-stress
levels.
