Signal Control Point (SCP)
SCP provides access to certain application in SS7.
SCP can be viewed as a database with an
appropriate interface for database access by other
signaling points in SS7.
SCP will keep the data record of subscriber,
destination and network to be referred by SSP in order
to establish the connection and session .
Typical usage of SCP is for special B-numbers such as
the 0800 series (when the called party is charged for
calls), or for provisioning of roaming in PLMN.
