INTRODUCTION
Noun station showcases two separate games but both games
focus on noun phrases. The two games are known as Noun
Chain and Blind Noun.
To succeed at this station, it is necessary for the
participants to have some knowledge on noun phrases. Without
the background knowledge, the challenge is greater.
Noun Chain deals with compound nouns whereby
Blind Noun touches on collective nouns. The games are
somewhat similar in style. Both games require the participants
to match the provided words. Nonetheless, the marking
system is slightly different.
To ensure active participation from every participant,
four groups are formed and two groups are assigned to one
game at a time. After certain period of time, the groups switch
game. Due to this, close monitoring of the time is vital.
To prevent chaos, it is advisable to have 3 facilitators
to run the station. Each facilitator has his or her own
responsibility: one is in-charge of the overall situation, namely
the Preparation and Closing stages, while the other two
facilitators manage the games separately.
