Step 1

             Print  out  your  photograph  at  a

             reasonable  size.  It  doesn't  have
             to  be  gigantic  but  you  need  to

             be   able    to   see   the   details    so

             you  can  copy  them.  I  prefer  to

             print it out in black and white so
             that it's easier to see the edges.

             My portrait is 5" x 7".























            Step 2

            Figure out an appropriate size of the grid spacing. For most images, I
            prefer    1/2"    between      each     line   but   sometimes      1/4"    or   3/4"   works

            best. Here I'm going to use 1/2".
