Thermal equilibrium equation
where Q = Heat energy involved
m = mass of substance
c = Specific Heat capacity
∆q = Changes in temperature (T final - T initial)
• Idea of thermal equilibrium:
a) Heat flows from hot to cold
b) Heat transfer until both reached same temperature
• In the thermal equilibrium process one object will lost heat and the other will gain it.
• Therefore, the heat lost by one object is equal to the heat gained by the other object.
