Preface

Materials Science and Engineering introduces students

to comprehensive materials science and engineering

fundamentals coverage. This e-book focuses on

material structures, properties, fabrication methods,

corrosion, thermal processing and material testing,

mostly of metals and alloys. This e-book consists of

two parts. The first part presents topics on the

materials' structure and interatomic bonding,

mechanical properties of metals and failures and the

imperfections in solids and phase diagrams.
