DCV ACTUATION METHOD

Directional valves’ actuator can be shifted to their positions by

manual, mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic actuators, Figure 11.1.

When directional valves is be controlled at an operator’s discretion,

his or her muscle power is used on a manual actuator. Mechanical

actuation is chosen when the shifting of a directional valve must occur

at the time a cylinder physically reaches a specific position.
