Reaction
In what ways participants liked a particular
program/training? How do participants feel?
The objective of this level is simple which it
evaluates how people respond to the training
program by asking questions that expose the
trainees' thinking. Questions will determine
whether the participant enjoyed their experience
and found the programme's content useful in their
work or not. A "smile sheet" is the most common
name for this type of evaluation.
Learning
New skills / knowledge / attitudes? What was
learned? And What was not learned?
This level of evaluation is used to determine how
far participants have progressed in terms of
competence, knowledge, or mindset. In
comparison to level one, exploration at this level is
significantly more difficult and time-consuming.
Assessments range from informal to formal, from
self-assessment to team evaluation. Individuals
should take the test or evaluation before the
training (pre-test) and after the training (post-test)
if at all possible to determine how much the
participant understood.
