BEAMWIDTH (Θ)
The beamwidth of a parabolic antenna refers
to the angular span of the main lobe in the
radiation pattern. It represents the coverage
area and angular extent of the antenna's
main beam. A narrower beamwidth indicates
a more focused and directional antenna
allowing the engeri to be focused to a direct
or point to point communication.
BANDWIDTH
The bandwidth of a parabolic antenna refers
to the range of frequencies over which the
antenna can effectively operate. It
represents the frequency range within which
the antenna's performance. The bandwidth of
a parabolic antenna depends on various
factors, including its design, feed system,
and operating frequency. The basic parabolic
reflector itself has an inherently wide
bandwidth due to its geometry and shape.
However, the actual bandwidth of the entire
antenna system is often limited by the
characteristics of the feed element and
associated components.
